People often use stress, anxiety, and depression interchangeably, but the lived pattern matters more than the label.
- Stress is often tied to a load, deadline, conflict, or transition and may ease when pressure changes.
- Anxiety often keeps the body and mind braced even when there is no immediate danger in the room.
- Depression often shows up as heaviness, numbness, hopelessness, fatigue, or difficulty caring about things that used to matter.
