- What is the difference between the D1 chart and the Navamsa?
- The D1 (Rasi) chart is the main birth chart — the sky divided into twelve signs. The Navamsa (D9) divides each sign into nine parts and is read for marriage and the deeper strength of planets. A planet weak in D1 but strong in D9 is treated very differently from one weak in both.
- Can I make a kundali without knowing my exact birth time?
- Partially. The date fixes the slower planets, but the lagna changes about every two hours and the Moon can change nakshatra within a day, so without a time the houses and dashas are unreliable. Check a birth certificate or hospital record first; even narrowing to a few hours helps.
