- macOS: macOS 12 Monterey or newer on Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3). ~250 MB free disk.
- Internet: Not required. The app and its ephemeris run entirely offline; your birth data never leaves your device.
Installing
macOS
- Open the .dmg and drag Soul Yatri Jyotish to Applications.
- First launch: right-click the app → Open → Open (clears the new-app warning).
- If it says “damaged / Move to Bin”, run this once in Terminal, then right-click → Open:
xattr -cr "/Applications/Soul Yatri Jyotish.app"
Windows
- Run the downloaded .exe installer.
- If “Windows protected your PC” appears: click More info → Run anyway (expected for a new app, not a virus).
- Launch Soul Yatri Jyotish from the Start menu.
Troubleshooting
macOS says “damaged” or “Move to Bin” — how do I open it?
That is macOS Gatekeeper on an un-notarised app, not a virus. Right-click (or Control-click) the app in Applications and choose Open, then Open again. If it still refuses, open Terminal and run: xattr -cr "/Applications/Soul Yatri Jyotish.app" — then right-click → Open once. After that it launches normally.
Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”.
Expected for a newly published app. Click “More info”, then “Run anyway”. The installer is safe; the warning simply means the app is new and not yet widely downloaded.

Which file do I pick?
macOS: the .dmg (Apple-Silicon and Intel both supported). Windows: the .exe installer (or the .msi for managed/admin installs).
