What each transit means
Jupiter: Jupiter spends about a year in a sign; its ingress shifts where growth, faith and counsel flow for every rashi.
Saturn: Saturn spends about two and a half years in a sign; its ingress moves Sade Sati and Dhaiya for the affected rashis.
Rahu: Rahu takes about eighteen months per sign, always moving in reverse through the zodiac.
Ketu: Ketu mirrors Rahu exactly 180 degrees away, so the two always change sign together.
The Sun, Moon and inner planets change signs far more often, but readings are built on the slow movers above, because a transit that lasts months to years sets the backdrop the fast transits play against.
